What drives the price

Height is only part of the picture. A tree above a roof can require controlled lowering, while an open lawn may allow a different method. Weak wood and difficult equipment access can change the work even when two trees look similar in size.

Compare the same scope

Ask whether each quote includes branches, logs, haul-away, stump work and ground finishing. Leaving wood on site is different from loading it out. Grinding is different from excavating a root ball; the published grinding figures above do not price full extraction.
